The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Oyi Constituency, Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Obinna Okafor, has pledged to sponsor bills for Internally Generated Revenue Retention, as well as for the establishment of vocational and skill acquisition centres in every council area of Anambra State.
Okafor stated this, yesterday while unveiling his five-point manifesto tagged, ‘K’anyi Dozie Oyi,’ during a meeting with wards and council party executives in Oyi Council of the state.

Assuring that he will sponsor four legislative bills within one week after the inauguration of the assembly if elected, Okafor added that his other bills would include establishment of state and council road maintenance agencies, as well as the establishment of a workable community development and peace commission by the state government.
He also disclosed that the manifesto would focus on Human Capital Development, Intra-communal Conflict Resolution and Attraction of Public Infrastructures through advocacy/deployment of constituency funds and effective lawmaking.
The hopeful LP candidate said he has already convinced people in other political parties in Oyi Constituency to join the Labour Party.
He added that these categories of persons, which will be unveiled to the people soon, will form major stakeholders of his train.
“I have already convinced Ndi Oyi that are in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), other political parties, as well as nonpartisan individuals to join the Labour Party to fortify it for victory in the 2023 general elections,” Okafor said.
In his response, the Council Chairman, Chief B.C Okoye, expressed confidence in Okafor and charged members to carry the message to their wards/towns to ensure victory for all party candidates.
