On Hon. Linus Okorie The intention of the Governor General of Ebonyi State over the case of Hon. Linus Okorie is to delay his Appeal Court matter over the Labour Party’s senatorial ticket. He’s from the same zone with the military administrator who temporarily holds the APC senatorial ticket for Ebonyi South Zone. Linus Okorie will defeat him earlier before voting starts, unless the Ebonyi South people want to play the fool’s card. It’s a waste of mandate to send an outgoing Governor to the Senate. He’s going there to rest and enjoy the company of his former corrupt governors colleagues. It’s even better to send a Deputy Governor to the Senate or a beginner who would like to prove a point so as to expand the frontiers of his future political journey. Gov. Umahi will be a miscarriage of mandate if elected into the Senate should he get the ticket at last… When the Ebubeagu !@#$% pick a person on the watch list of the Umahi military government, after panel-beating the person, they hand the person over to the police. The police is made to rush the person to the court and obtain a denial of bail order. There are Divine Mandate Judges. They first charge the person before a Magistrate’s Court which doesn’t have a jurisdiction to the matter. They intentionally do it to extend the evil days. They return the person into cell. An arrangement is made with the police for the person to be taken to the Governor for undertaking. The person goes with them. The military Governor now talks taste out of the person and refers the person back to police. Sometimes, the person is touched on his orders so he sees how the person cries. The person is driven back to the police office. Commissioner for Information now arrives the police headquarters the next day with a paper on which things are written and the person signs. After signing and swearing oath in court to back it, the person is now let go. In every 10 picked in this manner, 7 oblige for the sake of their freedom. The person comes back and says nothing about the military administration again. They tried it with me. I was to be taken to the anti-people’s Governor, and while the vehicle into which I was to board arrived, I declined going with them. They pushed me back into the cell and hastened processes that took me to the Afikpo Prison. How would I position my mouth begging a Rear Admiral Umahi over what was right I said about his junta? I would prefer spending a lifetime in prison than do that. That’s what they want to do to Hon. Linus Okorie. Linus won’t agree to their terms and condition. They’ll take him to court, deny him bail and then put him in prison. This is just to ensure he doesn’t meet up with the time frame for his matter in court. But I pray it doesn’t get to this point. Their still holding him speaks of the former. I know what they are up to. I only blame Hon. Linus Okorie for moving around in Ebonyi without security men. He’s worth 20 police men. He has the wherewithal to get at least, 5 police men attached to him. They wouldn’t have come close to him if he had police escort. They knew he was moving alone. He fell into their palms volitionally. Umahi no longer listens to Dr Goodluck Jonathan. Linus’ wife singlehandedly gave Umahi PDP gubernatorial ticket in 2015 through Mrs Patience Jonathan who then mandated Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim to ensure Engr David Umahi got the PDP ticket using Barr Olisa Metu against the wish of Gov. Martin Elechi. The now Deputy Governor, Barr Dr Kelechi Igwe worked on the INEC using his principal who was representing the South East at INEC, Amb. Lawrence Nwuruku. The same Barr Dr Kelechi Igwe and Sen. Obinna Ogba were the ones who took Umahi to Arthur Eze and Cletus Ibeto for loans. They signed for him. Umahi got about N4 billion from Arthur Eze and N2billion from Ibeto.The governorship returning officer was a friend of Prof. Ben Odoh. Immediately after the 2015 election, Odoh was appointed SSG from APGA wherein he contested a senatorial election. Whatever led to that is a discussion for another day. But the entire manipulation that led to the declaration of Umahi as winner of the election was hatched in Sen. Ike Ekweremmadu’s house in Mpu. It’s part of what he’s suffering today. Labour Party was adjudged winning the 2015 governorship election. The day those who would provide evidence in court in Enugu over how the election was rigged, they had accident on their way to Enugu from Ebonyi and died. All of them died. That stalled the victory of the Labour Party in court. So, people should prevail on the system so that Hon. Linus Okorie be released as soon as possible. If it’s handled with a kid’s glove, Umahi will drive him into the Abakaliki prison yard. And once he’s pushed into there, his 2023 political outing will be botched. But if he’s out now, he’ll stand the chance of defeating other candidates because, voters will have pity on him. Umahi doesn’t know the most appropriate time to strike. This is a wrong timing.
