Today, at the Abakaliki magistrate court, a five-count charges bothering on murder, felony and incitement of the public against the Governor was brought against Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie . The court in its wisdom held that it lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter and that he should be remanded in the correctional facility till 4th of November, 2022.
While we agree with the Court that it lacked jurisdiction over the matter, we thought it is more legally upright to grant him bail instead of remanding him. Our legal team will continue to explore appropriate ways to see that substantive justice is served in this case.

Linus and patriotic Nigerians should continue to lend their voices in pursuant of rule of law in Ebonyi State and this should be done in peaceful manner, through legal processes and respects for others’ rights.
