BORNO APC’S STYLE OF POLITICKING, A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY — BORNO PDP
The people’s democratic party (PDP) through the party spokesman Mr Amos Adziba , described as “worrisome, indecorous and contemptuous” actions and remarks by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC, saying they are a threat to Nigeria’s nascent democracy.
PDP said it views “the irascible actions and irresponsible video threats by the APC as a calculated attempt to overheat the polity. APC Borno State has become a present threat to our peaceful coexistence”.
On 24th October, 2023, the APC member of the House of Assembly representing Nganzai Local Government Ustaz Mohammed Ali Gajiram was captured in a video clip speaking in Kanuri language where he stated that they must win their elections even if it means that they will kill and bury anyone.

In another separate video, the APC state Chairman Hon Ali Bukar Dalori was also recorded equallly speaking in Kanuri threatening that they will kill the members of the opposition in order to win the forthcoming elections.
The threats coming from both the member of the House of Assembly representing Nganzai Local Government Ustaz Mohammed Gajiram and the State Chairman of the APC, Ali Bukar Dalori are in response to the campaign flagg off and rallies held last week by the PDP in Maiduguri and in Northern Borno. The unprecedented crowd that gathered at the events especially the campaign Flagg off at the Shehu’s Palace in Maiduguri held on 15 October, 2022 is viewed as a threat to the APC’s political hegemony in Borno State.
