If Jakande could conceive the idea of Lagos Metroline Network in 1983, built Alausa Secretariat, low cost housing estates, LTV, LASU, schools, hospitals roads including, Lekki-Aja road, etc, all these within 4 years. And the humble hero of the people still ended up in his Ilupeju modest house he built before becoming a governor, I think the issue of who’s the visionary builder of modern Lagos is settled.
Let no one or group of bloody liars commit “historicide,” a mindless murder of the history of gradual and sustained developments of Lagos by succesive governments, the history that some of us were part of as witnesses and participants for over 40 years.
