The Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo Olu and his deputy Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat have invited selected Ndigbo captains of Industry to a dinner and one on one interaction on March 5 2023

The organisers are Chief Anyaegbu CEO Chisco Transport and Allen Onyeama CEO of Peace Airlines

Invitation is for one only and Phone numbers will be verified at the Event.Venue is the Federal Palace Hotel ,Time 4pm

The invitation has Ndigbo drum as a cultural insigna at the bottom right.

This is coming at the recent defeat of the ruling party in the state by Labour party today.
The hand of friendship is being extended for support in the coming March 11 gubernatorial elections.Ndigbo make up about 45% of the states population

Angry reactions have greeted the invitation especially over the recent hostilities against traders. Many saying the occasion should not be honoured for various reasons including mass poisoning

However experts say the approach is a late one and is vindictive as implies Ndigbo deliberately played the ethnic card while exonerating the Church that portrayed Vice Presidential Candidate of APC as a terrorist

Kassim Shettima Vice Presidential Candidate of APC is largely seen as a faith threat

,a kind of Local Taliban who will certainly be a threat to Christianity. The experts feel that Christian leaders too should be invited for the occasion .Going further the experts feel that people within the administration voted against APC in last election owing to the high handedness of the administration.

Mr Sanwo Olu had made several efforts after the first outing of Labour group to pacify Ndigbo.

Whether the move will be accepted or the sponsors threated as saboteurs in the igbo society remain to be seen, Other experts predict further hostilities if Ndigbo shun the invitation.
