Jumped-up village bumpkins from the Yoruba hinterland, who, through criminal enterprise considered abominations in their villages, have captured Lagos State from its Indigenes, have now through their arrogance and inflated sense of self, begun the process of destroying the goose that has been laying the golden eggs they’ve been stealing since 1999. Speaker Obasa and his boss are the archetypal ẹnú já wáyà. The latter opened his big mouth at his inauguration to declare subsidies removed, without ANY form of palliatives, with disastrous results for the national economy and the personal economies of 200m Nigerians, who in fact did not vote for him but had their votes stolen, as is customary for him.

The former, a common thug inebriated with the trappings of power he does not even begin to understand, openly declared that he would pass a law allowing Lagos State to infringe on the right to own property granted by the same constitution under which he has now been sworn in twice as the speaker. The consequences for the Lagos Real Estate market will certainly be dire. There will be far more serious consequences, should the principle of reciprocity be activated in other states, like, for instance, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Imo and Cross River, which hold the bulk of Nigeria’s hydrocarbon reserves, for which many Yorubas hold lucrative licences, and where many Yorùbá professionals ply their trade.
The Judiciary at this point need to do their HONEST duty and get rid of these criminals to save the country from irreversible ruin.
