Let me briefly narrate how Bawa became EFCC Chairman. He is a product of corruption.
*Bawa was brought in by Malami his brother from Kebbi State to ‘protect’ Bubu his in-law and himself during and after their tenure. They had no inkling that there will be a Pharaoh who will not know Joseph.
** Malami wrote a petition of about 20 concocted lies against Magu.
- Magu was arrested on the street like a common criminal while going to Police HeadQuarters and thrown into detention.
** For about 3 weeks Magu was in detention without seeing / knowing the allegations against him. His lawyer Wahab Shittu had to cry out that his client was detained without knowing why and that he his lawyer, was not given any charge paper.
**Justice Ayo Salami Panel was constituted to nail Magu .Buhari gave the Panel 45 days. After 9 ‘months’ nothing was found against Magu! CBN was even brought to check all accounts of Banks to see where Magu stashed / transferred money. Nothing was found!
Magu requested that Malami be brought to the Panel for them to face each other. Malami dodged! He said what he wrote about Magu were not his own findings but based on petition from outside.Haa!
Malami worked assiduously just to remove Magu in order to put Bawa in his place. He constituted a panel with 3(three) persons working in his office as members !
Bawa was announced as new EFCC Chairman before the Panel submitted a report in the 10th month or so instead of 45 days as they couldn’t find anything against Magu.
The main thing in the report is that Policemen should NOT be made Chairman of EFCC anymore .Why? No one volunteered an answer till today!
It is pertinent to note that Magu though a Policeman, has a University degree in Accounting and was trained by FBI in financial crime investigation so he is qualified to hold the position. Magu must be removed at all cost hence policemen must be barred from being EFCC Chairman.
Magu is a policeman and Bawa is not. Can we see ‘wuruwuru’ to the answer? 😁 Magu was found ‘guilty’ because he is a policeman. Nothing was found against him, BUT he must be removed willy nilly to pave way for Bawa!
Justice, where art thou!
There arose a problem when Senate was to clear Bawa:
He was not qualified as he was below the grade recommended in the EFCC Act
He was hurriedly promoted without any due process of examination or interview in accordance with extant rules.
Bawa ALONE was the person promoted out of season.!🤔
That is how Bawa became EFCC Chairman!
Magu was sent back to the Police and has since been promoted as – a proof of his innocence.
God is NOT a human being and cannot be mocked. God rewards people as they deserve!
Bawa’s backers are now yesterday’s men and are powerless to deliver him now.
There is no way a person appointed through a corrupt process will not be corrupt. No way! He that is enthroned by corrupt people has to pander to the wishes of those who gave him the unmerited position of authority .
I am not surprised at Bawa’s fall.
