ROMEO WRITES on ALABA DEMOLITION
Has Ohaneze done due diligence to ascertain if tempering justice with mercy will constitute grave danger to lives and property? I do not support this plea except if the demolition is inevitably necessary and devoid of political vendetta. I will also advise that the LASG should look at the possibility of salvaging those buildings via reinforcement and reconstruction of the structures to meet required standard. For the buildings impeding drainages they should be pulled down but the owners should be compensated because they didn’t just erect those buildings without approval from relevant government agencies. Even during construction ab-initio the structures should have been discouraged and subsequently pulled down if there was intransigence on the part of the buildeR
