Addressing the gathering at the funeral service for the soldiers who fell victim to bandit attacks in Niger State on Friday, the CDS pledged that those accountable for these heinous acts will face the consequences they deserve.

In his statement, he conveyed, ‘When you lay to rest your own, the pain runs deep. I want to assure the bereaved families that the sacrifices made by their loved ones will not be without purpose.’

‘We hold their memory in high regard. We are resolute in our commitment to ensure that those responsible for these actions are held accountable. I take this moment to extend a call to all commanders and troops across the entirety of Nigeria—vengeance must be sought. We will track down both those behind this tragedy and anyone perpetrating similar atrocities against our forces, no matter their location. Justice will be served.’

He assured the gathering that the military will actively pursue bandits, terrorists, and all other criminal elements across the nation, ensuring that they are brought to justice.”
