8. The international community must strengthen its resolve to arrest the flow of arms and violent people into west Africa
9. Billions of dollars meant to improve the economies of nations in Africa now fuel violence… if left unchecked can fuel a national security crisis
10. Many Africans are asking if this is not by design in terms of the way violence is fueled across Africa
11. Climate change severely impacts Nigeria and Africa… African nations will fight climate change but must do so on just and fair terms
12. We will build a green wall to stop desert encroachment… water and irrigation projects…. provision of gas burning stoves etc.
13. Peace, security, human rights and development will be Nigeria’s guiding principle
14. The will of the people must be respected… this beautiful planet must be protected
15. We as Africans, seek neither to be appendages or patrons… we do not seek to replace old shackles with new ones
16. Instead we hope to work the rich African soil… and live under the magnificent African sky… free of the wrongs of the past and its associated encumbrances
