I just finished listening to the BBC Hausa Service news this morning from 6.30-7.00 a.m. read by Imam Saleh. From beginning to end there was no mention of that obnoxious report nor even any reference to it. If such a report was part of their important story in the English service it would have been mentioned this morning or a follow-up report to gauge the reaction of Nigerians would have been done on it. Their Abuja political correspondent who anchors most reports is Ibrahim Isa. How Fauziyya Tukur was featured in that report beats my imagination. It was simply a faux pas on the side of the reporters using the BBC Hausa service staff aimed at misleading the nation.
BBC Hausa page where the news appears is not news read on their daily news story. The Lady just interpreted what they wrote and posted it there. It is not in their checklist stories. It will have been mentioned
