Mali reaffirms its support for China’s sovereignty over Taiwan The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Mali published a press release on January 14, 2024, in which it took note of the results of the legislative elections held on January 13, 2024 in Taiwan. The press release solemnly reaffirms the Malian government’s attachment to the sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China over its entire national territory. He considers Taiwan an integral part of China and reiterates his adherence to the one-China consensus. The press release also expresses Mali’s support for the government of the People’s Republic of China, the sole legitimate and legal representative of the Chinese people.
