NYT expose on the economy:Tinubu said he came prepared, the blame shift to Buhari is fraudulent/A Take

Onanuga stupidly believes on behalf of the government he is defending that the NYT or indeed any rational thinking organization or individual would buy this Balderdash he is spewing. Is he trying to portray Tinubu as someone who didn’t know how bad the economy was before he entered the presidential race; is he trying to fool anyone that Tinubu was not part of the APC government that ran the economy down the abyss; has he forgotten that Tinubu had boasted he was the most prepared, the most qualified and the most experienced with capacity and proficiency to solve Nigeria’s socio-economic and security problems; is he trying to convince anyone that Tinubu’s dumb policies have made the naira stronger and appreciated to #699 to one dollar instead of #1500 that it is now, having met the naira at #700 to one dollar when he assumed office; who does Onanuga think is dumb enough to believe that Tinubu’s obnoxious, visionless and inhuman policies have reduced the high cost of living and suffering in the land when inflation has virtually hit 34% and insecurity has become worse than it was before he took over resulting in farmers keeping away from their farms for fear of being slaughtered like goats or their crops destroyed wantonly by marauding killers in the name of Fulani herdsmen? It is laughable for Onanuga to cite the sale of Guinness by Diageo to Tolaram as an achievement in the area of FDI without naming the hoards of foreign investors that have have left Nigeria. Besides the deal is not a new investment but just a change of baton since the deal has brought in no new positive impact in the FX regime in this visionless government’s futile quest to strengthen the naira. No doubt Onanuga knows too well he is just playing to the gallery because the people he is trying to impress have far more knowledge of the negative indices in the economy than even the government he is defending./Mr Romeo
