The United Igbo Elders Council received with enormous joy Your Imperial Majesty’s endorsement as the Asagba-Elect of one of the great capitals of the ancient Igbo nation, and once the sole capital of colonial Nigeria. Asaba with her dynamic population embodies and expresses the best in Igbo culture and traditions, signposts the greatest hallmarks of Igbo ancient and modern history,
and a monarch sitting on the ancient stool is not only an Asaba or Anioma royalty, but a King of the Igbo nation worldwide. We shall humbly remind the great King, that your appointment is a herald of other mighty things to come,
coinciding as it were with a time of critical anticipations throughout the country and the world, and especially including the universal momentum acquired by the Bill for the creation of the long-yearned Anioma State as a constituent element within the Federal Republic of Nigeria, presented to Parliament by no other than another illustrious Igbo son of Anioma extraction, in the person of His Excellency, Senator Ned Munir Nwoko.
By the ascension into the high throne of Asagba of Asaba, the eminent Jurist, Professor and man of several other distinctions, and with the Igbo nation firmly behind him and the distinguished Senator, a natural synthesis presents itself for all of us to work in close synergy to realize the ultimate dream of an Anioma State, whose chief Landlord would be Your Imperial Majesty!!
God willing, the United Igbo Elders Council (UNIEC) Worldwide, would hold an Inter-Denominational Service inside the great Asaba ancient kingdom, to welcome the King and his royal entourage into their life-long service, and publicly hand them over to God’s care, protection, wisdom, and greater favours.
