In Cameroon, separatist fighters from Ambazonia carried out an attack in which 3 police officers were killed, this Saturday, August 24, 2024, Cameroon News Agency reports.
The North West and South West regions of Cameroon are still plagued by incursions by Ambazonia separatists.
“Three police officers were killed in Buea. They were reportedly attacked by gunmen believed to be separatist fighters while on duty on the night of Saturday, August 24, 2024. They were at a makeshift post near the recently inaugurated Buea Central Market on the road leading to Muea.
The victims are 2nd Grade Police Officer Laoumanga from the 2nd District Police Station, 2nd Grade Police Officer Tabe from the 3rd District Police Station and 1st Grade Police Officer Beng from the Central Police Station,” CNA reported.
