A transparency and human right group, led by Mall Hayat Mohammed has alleged that, the decision of the Board controlling the Correction Services, Fire Services, Immigration Services, Nigeria Securirty and Civil Defence Corps is likely to have been compromised in the Civil Defence.
This allegation, was made by Nigeria Standard Rights Transparency Society (NSRTS) against the background that the other sister agencies have released the names of those promoted as approved by the Board, while the NSCDC has not, giving room to high heaven suspicion of alterings.
The Minister of Internal Affairs , Hon. Olubinmi Ojo, a distinguish personality and a no nonesense man, is known to have been ably represented at the Board, by Alhaji Jafar Ahmed another disciplinarian and down to heart fellow, whose records at the Immigration can not but be behold, having done a deligent job on the promotion list and do not deserve that any one anywhere, no matter who or highly placed, should tamper with the meticulously screened list as approved by the board, except such person or persons are saying the Minister is not fit to lead in the task handed over to him by Mr. President.
The Society is of the opinion that,, if that is evenrually the case, it might become a litigation issue against any of such agencies as, it stands firm with the effort of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, hardworking Distinguish Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR , who is doing all he can to ensure sanity in all sectors, as against the current common practice of mediocrity, which is one of the problems bedevilling the nation, not even in such a sensitive sector as Security.
The group therefore, calls on the NSCDC to release it’s list forthwith, as any further delay will lead to them presenting a formal petition to the President and copying the Minister and other relevant anti graft agencies.
“This will cause a petition to the President, through the amiable and Honourable Minister of Interior”, who it said is doing a yeoman’s job.
