The Concern Pensioners has been fighting the leadership of NUP for calling out the Governor over the unpaid arrears which the Governor said he cleared with 9bn. The Governor said he cleared 9 years arrears but NUP said their members were owed for 45 months. They said that what Otti paid them is just the arrears of 9 months his administration owed them, they deceived them into signing away the arrears owed by previous administration which 45 months, not 9 years.
Same way he claimed that reports he has been receiving from his AG indicates that he has been paying 30k minimum wage while the workers were receiving only 18k, is same way he has been promising to fix errors in the recently approved 70k minimum wage which he pays after NDA.
MDAs like ARTMSS has never received a dime as minimum wage. When one of them voiced out, they issued a statement reminding them that they’ve not been confirmed in the Civil Service and can be sacked.
To avoid joining the nationwide strike, he met with Leaders of NLC and TUC yesterday and made the same promise of fixing minimum wage issues, that’s to ensure they don’t embark on the strike.
