Nigeria 🇳🇬 – 🇳🇪Niger

The Federal Government of Nigeria has expressed openness to constructive dialogue with the leaders of Niger in a bid to defuse diplomatic tensions that have escalated between the two neighbouring nations.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to peace and stability in West Africa. He called for “frank” discussions to address mutual concerns raised by the CNSP Chairman, Niger’s Head of State, General Abdourahman Tiani.
