Sir,
Impersonation alert: Petition Against Onyinye Mamah for Alleged Impersonation of Organizations and Misrepresentation.
We, the undersigned Organization, write to formally bring to your attention a matter of grave concern involving Onyinye Mamah, founder of the Heroine Women Foundation, and a self-proclaimed president of the Women Support Women Network. This petition is a call for immediate investigation and action against her for alleged impersonation of reputable organizations and misrepresentation of credentials and affiliations.
Allegations:
Impersonation: Onyinye Mamah is accused of falsely claiming to represent or be affiliated with established and registered organizations to gain personal and organizational benefits. Our concern is prominent on this subject matter, especially because of the identity and integrity of our organization; Women Support Women Community Network is directly targeted and affected. We are an independent and reputable nonprofit organization duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commision (CAC), Abuja, with well established organizational structures and not a factional establishment of any sort Find attached our CAC registration certificate.
Misrepresentation: There is evidence suggesting that she has misled stakeholders, including beneficiaries, donors, and collaborators, by presenting herself as a legitimate representative of entities she is not officially connected to in any guise.
Undermining Trust: Such actions undermine the credibility of authentic and genuine organizations and damage the reputation of civil society efforts, especially in areas of women’s empowerment and human rights advocacy.
Evidence:
In different instances and occasions, Onyinye Mamah claims to be the president of Women Support Women Network, Women Support Women International, Women Support Women for Human Development and Mentorship initiative, etc. She has in the acclaimed capacity of being the president of Women Support Women Network paid a visit to one of the First Lady ‘s Office in Southeast Nigeria. This action was deliberately masterminded to override our efforts in engaging the office of the first lady as well as deface our Organization’s identity while diverting the attention of the first lady to herself to assume she is the forerunner of the Organization; Women Support Women Community Network. It is possible that similar visits were made to other unsuspecting authorities and relevant stakeholders we are not aware of but as alleged.
She has made publications and programs fliers and banners with those organizations’ names. Find attached supporting documents.
Impact:
The alleged actions have:
Eroded trust among stakeholders in the Civil Society space.
Diverted resources from legitimate causes for personal use.
Tarnished the image of organizations genuinely working to empower women and support communities.
Misled relevant stakeholders on the true identity of our organization, thereby making it difficult for partners and citizens alike to track our activities and impacts in society.
Our Demands:
Investigation: Through your good Office, we kindly request that you thoroughly investigate the activities of Onyinye Mamah and her self-proclaimed organizations.
Accountability: If found guilty, appropriate legal and organizational actions should be taken against her to prevent further misconduct as well serve as a deterrent to others nursing the same actions.
Public Clarification: She will issue public statements to clear the names of any organizations falsely represented by her.
Our Prayers:
We believe that taking swift and decisive action in this matter will uphold the integrity of the civil society sector and protect the interests of genuine organizations and their beneficiaries.
We trust in your commitment to justice and transparency and look forward to your prompt action.
Yours faithfully,
