The Benin Workers’ Trade Union Confederation (CSTB) will organize a demonstration on January 25, 2025, to demand the departure of the French army from the country, convinced that French troops create and develop terrorism in African countries where they are present as part of military cooperation.

“It is common knowledge that the presence of French military troops in countries, particularly colonized ones, within the framework of military cooperation, has only created and developed terrorism,” said the confederal secretary general, Naïni Kassa Mampo.

The Secretary General of the CSTB denounced an attitude of the French forces which, according to him, favors the expansion of terrorism in African states, thus arousing the indignation of the local populations. “Wherever they are present, the populations demand their departure,” he added.
