NIGERIAN POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS FOR TORTURING LAGOS BOUTIQUE FEMALE EMPLOYEE AFTER OUTCRYThe Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command said that it has arrested three suspects out of the men who brutally tortured a female employee of Don Meserati Classic Boutique in Lagos over alleged theft.The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who made this known on Monday said that efforts are on to arrest the remaining suspects and establish contact with the victim.“Three suspects have been arrested, while efforts are on to apprehend other suspects and establish contact with the victim.“The Commissioner of Police @LagosPoliceNG, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, assures Lagosians that justice will be served,” the police spokesperson said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).Hundeyin gave the update while reacting to a viral video earlier posted on social media platforms showing some men brutally assaulting a female employee of the boutique accused of theft, reportedly on the orders of the owner of the establishment.The viral video shows about four men brutally flogging the lady while she rolled on the ground in the boutique.The media earlier reported that the Take It Back Movement (TIB), a human rights advocacy organisation, condemned the incident in strongest terms, describing the torture as barbaric and called on law enforcement agencies to take appropriate actions and carry out a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
