Back to the roots;:Igbo youths join forces to help abandonned widow

“This widow is over hundred years but childless. Because she couldn’t bear a child, she was chased out of her husband’s place and she went back to her parents’ place at Azu-Ose Ndeguazu Umuoghara (Ebiaji, Ezza North council headquarters) where she’s permanently living. No one takes care of her.

On 25th December (two weeks ago), I visited her with; wrapper, bushel (25kg bag) of destoned rice, beans, a bottle of groundnut oil, a roll of tomato, a packet of maggi, salt, peak milk, cowbell tea, a loaf of bread and biscuit, and it was sponsored by our dear SP Ruka Ruka .

Today, I visited her again with tin of milk and tea, blood tonic, viva detergent, biscuit, packet of bathing soap and N5,000, and it was sponsored by Melisia Chuks and Agwu Charity .

She was extremely happy seeing me again with the gifts and she said to me, “my son, you have made me to live longer, please, open the biscuit, let me eat first because I’m already hungry”. I did as she requested…”
