Good morning, @CustomsNG.

Please join well-meaning Nigerians in congratulating the Nigerian Navy for filling in for you after you abdicated your responsibility to ensure border security.

Remember the over 5,000 vehicles containing rice, turkey, chicken and other illicit items that were to be moved into Lagos from the Seme border in Badagry on the say-so of two of your men and two traditional rulers in the area?

My tweet scuppered the operation, but the smugglers attempted to move 1,000 bags of rice from the lot by water, only to be apprehended by the Navy.

In the spirit of camaraderie, I expect the Nigeria Customs Service to publicly appreciate the Navy for rendering a helping hand to an ailing, failing customs service. Do have a nice week.
