The Lagos State Government has firmly stated that it had no part in the controversial demolition of a property associated with Mr. Peter Obi’s brother, clarifying that neither LASBCA nor any other state agency was involved in the incident.

In a statement from the Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, the government expressed concern over Mr. Peter Obi’s allegations, saying, “It is troubling that he would make such claims without checking the facts.”

Dr. Olajide Babatunde, the Special Adviser on Urban Development, reiterated that LASBCA had no involvement, and the government has initiated a comprehensive investigation to get to the bottom of what happened and ensure the right actions are taken.

“We are dedicated to upholding the rule of law and will not accept any form of lawlessness,” the statement emphasized.

So, who actually demolished the building in the heart of Lagos state without Govt. backing? Are there hidden forces at work, or is this just another chapter in political drama?
