Why zoning/Onyebo Wisdom

If not for our society’s penchant for tribalism, nepotism, romance with anomaly and paradoxical love for what we hate, zoning wouldn’t have been considered a cogent practice in our political system.

Logically, our much talked about zoning, justifies the division of our presumed unified entity into tribal blocks and more annoyingly into a zoning block that clearly reflect our dark colonial history(division into North and West), while abdicating from its secondary alternative(six zones) that was done by us our people.

During the zenith of the most recent political campaign in America, the focal point of their political discussion was about the pedigree of each candidate and what value they will bring to the American people if elected, judging strictly from their current, psychological, social and economic value.

I didn’t read anyone talk about where Trump hails from or the tribe Biden came from. Their political scribal attacks centred on performance of political parties. Parties there have defined/definite political ideologies that gives voters a clue of what their society’s reality will be like when a candidate alongside from a party is voted in.

But what about us?

We need mental development more than we need political and economic development as a people.

Our physical and economic development will be a reflection of our collective mental development. Imagine a society where someone is hated and mocked for promoting morals and decency while those who promote disorder, rascality and criminality are feared/hailed as powerful.

Why are we not talking about having credible elections? Why are we not reviewing and questioning the position of the supreme Court in the last election, considering that it is not at par with what’s acceptable by the people?

How do we cope with the thought and fear that inec currently has the supreme Court backing in the form of judgement to play around with our electoral process and perhaps produce results that has nothing to do with what votes says, and still have a chance of having the false vote upheld by the court, in obedience to the principles of judicial precedence.

What a society? A society where instruments of government are used to protect and promote individuals interest against the interest of all. A place where government institutions serve individuals more than they serve the people. A society where civil servants must be bribed to do what they are being paid salaries to do. What a disgrace.

I don’t have a candidate yet in the coming election because there’s no prove on ground that votes will count.

You too as a citizen lack the power to have a candidate if your vote will not count.

The political thorns planted by our late and living old politicians is currently tearing our feet apart, “shall we continue in sin for grace to abound”? Let’s get it right for once
