Over the past seven months, my local government alone in the Southeast has received between 5 and 6 billion naira in allocation , but these resources have been embezzled by certain individuals. As an Igbo person, I believe our community rejects imposed leadership, as it fosters greed and the misappropriation of funds intended for development.
The federal government has appointed individuals as Igbo leaders who do not represent our interests, contributing to the root causes of our challenges in the Southeast. Furthermore, the insecurity in our region is largely sponsored by these imposed Igbo politicians.
To succeed as a people, we must identify and implement solutions to address these systemic issues.
