Thousands of hectares of land in the South West are gone. Sold to Chinese who are busy buying up farmlands and family heirlooms for ‘ agriculture ‘ ( At least, that is what they tell us but we know it is for solid minerals excavation and consolidation) which these Apòdas sell without a whim for as long as they are getting paid.
Now rootless and expunged from their ancestral homesteads, they migrate to Lagos and begin to serenade the ethnic bleats about Igbos wanting to take over Lagos. Lawòn òmò to ti ta orisun wòn danu ni kòbò meji o.
Their Baalęs and Kings make a living out of land appropriation too, yet these fools are either too blinded by ethnic hatred to see the issues very clearly and address them.
The Fulani who live in some of those places are claiming ownership because some Kings and chiefs ceded land to them in the first place.
Today, many parts of Kwara South and North have been taken over by ‘terrorists’ bent on displacing the people, ransacking communities and kidnapping locals.
The people superintending Lagos are still selling land to anyone that can afford to pay the price yet a section of these same people are agitating Igbo exit from Lagos.
It is just curious and laughable that some people choose not to have sense.
