KDSG move to provide support for passengers of kaduna-abuja train
Governor Uba Sani of kaduna state, has mobilized state emergency resources following the derailment of an Abuja-Kaduna passenger train on Tuesday morning. The incident caused significant panic among passengers and their families.
This was disclosed by Ahmed Maiyaki Commissioner-Designate, he conveyed the Governor’s deep concern and immediate directives. The Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency and the Ministry of Local Government Affairs have been instructed to evacuate all stranded passengers from the scene and provide immediate emergency assistance and medical care to the injured; they’re to also Offer psycho-social support to all affected victim.
The state government has urged residents to remain calm and continue with their normal activities, assuring the public that the situation is under control. Governor Sani also expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the victims and their families.
An investigation into the cause of the derailment is currently underway, with the state government collaborating closely with relevant federal authorities and security agencies.
