HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala Clarifies Position on Umuaka Development Fund
In a statement addressing the proposed ₦1 Billion Umuaka Development Fund,
HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala EzeNwanne of Obinwanne Umuaka Kingdom, clarified his position and issued a call to action for all ten autonomous communities of Akahland. The monarch emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and unity while outlining the framework for the initiative.

“Just to clarify my position, I have no intention of nominating a Board of Trustees for the proposed funds. Neither do I intend to open a bank account for contributions. My charge is to all the ten communities of Akahland to individually commit to raising ₦100 million. This is where the communities need to put aside their internal divisions and come together for a just cause.
It is for each community to agree on the best method for them to raise their funds within the agreed time frame. Then, on the basis of equality of the ten communities, each community that has contributed its ₦100 million will nominate their sole representative on the Board of Trustees (BOT). Each community must publicly commit to this initiative.
If all the communities agree to make their contributions ready by December 2025, we can inaugurate the BOT by January 1, 2026, as a New Year gift to the people of Akahland.
On behalf of the good people of Obinwanne Umuaka Kingdom, I, HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala, EzeNwanne of Obinwanne Umuaka Kingdom, hereby publicly declare that we are ready and willing to participate in the setting up of an Umuaka Development Fund. We also further commit that, subject to the agreement of the other nine communities to participate in the Umuaka Development Fund, Obinwanne Umuaka Kingdom will set everything in motion to mobilize our people to be ready by December 2025.”
