Ahead of November 11th, 2023, imo Governorship election, the president International Youth Parliament (IYP) His Excellency, Hon. (Engr) Promise Anurika Nwadigos, has set criteria for Imolites and mostly the youth and women in the state on Candidates to vote for, urging them to only vote for the Labour party candidate Senator Athan Nneji Achonu who out of his goodwill has Identify with the masses and has shown a sense of belonging to all Imolites by building the biggest Aku Ru Ulo Project without any government portfolio been attached to him.
Nwadigos who said “This is the time to look out for those who have respect for human life as a show of equity, fairness, partnership and peaceful coexistence in the State”.
He further pointed out that Parties has presented their candidates, adding that “it is now in the hands of Imolites to liberate the state with their permanent voters card”
While reminding youth and women in the state to know the difference between light and darkness, Nwadigos made it clear that enough is enough and if the current government in the state results to violent, ballot snatching, we will match them with same energy come November 11th, 2023.
He continued by saying; “By now, we all saw the robbery that took place in Imo state in the name of elections and how the state government wrote results and upturn the will of the Imolites, we are aware of their plans and is important for the Apc government in the state to know this time our votes must count”.
The Iyp boss disclosed that these decisions were taken after due consultation and collaboration with the Imo stakeholders, where it has been agreed that, no election rigging of any kind will be allowed in and outside the state.
While promising all Imo electorates of their safety, urged them to come out en mass to exercise their franchise for a better Imo, he appealed them not to be discouraged by the outcome of the February 25th polls but to come out on November 11th to vote in Candidates of labour party, Distinguished Senator Athan Achonu.
“You have all done your beat as electorates, but we still have a hurdle to jump over. The governorship election should be seen as the last fight of imo liberation, and everyone is enjoined to come out to vote.
“Nwadigos, while congratulating Distinguished Senator Athan Achonu as the next governor of imo state, encourage everyone to pray for the success of the election and the governor in waiting.
