Wife of popular Lagos businessman dies after being burnt during fight with husband

Bimbo, the  Wife of popular car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD, is dead after a violent scene that resulted from a fight with her husband.

Her death was confirmed by her sister on social media.

Bimbo was rushed to the hospital sometime last week after suffering severe burns after an incident at their residence in Megamound estate, Lekki, Lagos led to a fire disaster. 

Report claimed she confronted her husband IVD on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, over the constant beatings she receives, and the result was a serious fight.

The fight resulted in their house being set ablaze. While IVD escaped with minor burns, Bimbo suffered severe burns and was rushed to the intensive care unit, but she later died.

Bimbo was alleged to have suffered in the hands of her husband and the father of her five children for a very long. 

She regained consciousness in May 2019 after she was allegedly beaten to a coma by her husband while she was 8 months pregnant.

Then, on October 4, 2020, IVD released a video of him reconciling with his wife days after his wife revealed how she suffered domestic violence for 19 years.

The case is currently under police  investigation.
