Oraifite Vigilante Rescues Kidnapped Man Held by Dibia-Turned-Kidnapper in Anambra
The Oraifite vigilante group in Anambra State has successfully rescued a man who was kidnapped by Dibia, who combined his traditional practice with criminal activities.
The suspect, identified as Mmuo, is said to have orchestrated the abduction of the victim with the help of his gang in Ihiala, where the man was held captive for three days. The kidnappers reportedly demanded a ransom of N100 million from the victim’s family.
Acting on intelligence, the Oraifite vigilante group raided the hideout, freeing the abducted man and disrupting the operation. The victim, who had been in captivity since his abduction in Ihiala, was safely reunited with his family.
Mmuo and his gang, however, managed to escape during the operation and are currently on the run. Security agencies in the state have intensified efforts to apprehend the suspects.
