Military cooperation would continue within the framework of bilateral agreements, indicated the spokesman for the Ivorian government, Amadou Coulibaly.
Ivory Coast “is not concerned” by the remarks of French President Emmanuel Macron, who on Monday in Paris described certain African governments as ungrateful towards French military engagement in Africa, reacted Ivorian government spokesman Amadou Coulibaly on Wednesday.
“As for the countries that should be grateful to France, in any case, I do not remember France having fought for Côte d’Ivoire, so we are not particularly concerned by these remarks,” reacted Minister Amadou Coulibaly, at a press conference, held at the end of a council of ministers, this Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
“We have a collaboration with France, with the French army, within the framework of a cooperation that is known and that is clear. We have long-standing relations with France with whom we have always had good relations,” continued the government spokesperson.
I have always held the view that the Ivorian Government are the most dangerous in West Africa.
