OPINION: Stabilizing Electricity In SouthEast And Other Igbo Communities. | Ohaneze TV
There has been a growing call for Ndigbo to think home and fix their homeland. Many notable Igbo figures have suggested the importance of all Igbo sons and daughters to think for ways to put Igbo Land in the right shape for development, both now and in the future.
Without waiting for the federal government, Ndigbo can strategize and initiate plans to develop Igbo Land through voluntary contribution of ideas, resources, platforms e.t.c
This idea is contained in the statement issued by the president general of World Trade Organization(WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to Ndigbo where she decried lack of development in South East and Igbo Land in general. Dr. Ngozi not only called for Ndigbo to come together and think home, but has volunteered to support through her wide interlectual resources.
Also, a renowned Nollywood Actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has expressed his concerns about the future of Igbo Nation and proposed coming together of Ndigbo at home and abroad to develop Ala Igbo. Kanayo has promised to consult prominent Igbo men and women for a better way forward.
It’s noteworthy that the basis of development in any nation round the world is constant electricity. Stable electricity will not only boost businesses, but will as well attract foreign investors to the South East, and that will also enable our young youths to engage actively in digital technology with ease which is where the world is driving towards. We have experts like Prof. Bath Nnaji to lead this Stable Electricity Project. The resources to set up this electricity project will never be a bottleneck if planned appropriately.
Therefore I call on the Ohaneze Ndigbo president general, south east governors, senators, Rep. Members, religious leaders, Ndi Eze na Ndi Igwe, e.t.c to come together and make 24hrs electricity in South East and other Igbo Communities a realized dream.
This will be a tremendous step for the development of Igboland!
