This is not the first coalition Atiku, PDP, and other political parties are forming. Who still remembers CUPP? It was a coalition of this kind formed by some of the regular faces in the current coalition to unseat Buhari.
I remember Hon Ikéngà Ugochinyere being their spokesperson. The coalition died before its arrival. Many Nigerians ended up not knowing that a coalition was formed not to talk of the coalition meeting its aspirations.
Their foot soldiers had meetings and enjoyed free food and drinks, and ended the mission of the coalition in the various suckaway pits in their homes. The coalition didn’t have any impact. The coalition as a source didn’t win one community counselorship election. It became structureless and died without having a marked grave.
The only reason Nigerians bother to read news about any coalition being formed or otherwise, is because of Obi. He’s doing for the coalition what he did for the ungrateful leprous sorry Labour Party. He is the powerhouse of the coalition. If anyone will overlook this truth and give the party’s ticket to another person, Labour Party’s hard lessons in the coming days will be better than what this coalition will face.
