Let’s be candid about our reality. The Nigerian economy is groaning under immense pressure. Families are struggling. Insecurity casts a long shadow. And in this crucible of challenges, who bears the heaviest burden? It is the Nigerian woman.
She is the entrepreneur whose business is wiped out by inflation. She is the mother navigating unsafe roads to get her children to school. She is the farmer whose harvest is threatened by conflict. She is the backbone of our communities, yet when the architects of policy gather, her seat is often empty.
This isn’t just a social injustice; it’s a critical economic and political miscalculation. To exclude 50% of your population from leadership is like trying to fly a plane with only one wing. You might stagger along for a while, but you will never soar. We are deliberately flying with one wing, expecting to reach the heights of national prosperity.
