Information available indicates that the gunmen drove straight to the PVC collection center but failed to meet the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), then they subsequently killed the security operative from Umuezuo village, Umuokirika.

The hoodlums vandalized the INEC office in the local government, behind the Chioma Ajunwa Stadium and the sole administrator.

However, Mr. John Onuoha, younger brother to the late Chief P.C. Onuoha, a prominent politician who was driving home ran into the hoodlums, they ransacked his vehicle and left him unhurt.
