It is now 72 hours since my son, the tank commander, entered Gaza the second time. In accordance with military protocol, we have no contact with him and therefore do not know how he and his crew are faring. We know that 11 of our warriors have fallen and others have been wounded in intense fighting against the Palestinian terrorists thus far. As expected, Israel is being pressured diplomatically to halt the campaign. At least two countries (Chile and Colombia) are recalling their ambassadors. The Biden Administration is also pressuring us. To win we will have to continue. The cost will be dear. We here understand this. The question is whether our leaders can withstand the international pressure. Our sons and daughters and we, their families, are prepared to sacrifice for victory. This is our supreme test as a nation. May Hashem guide and protect us.
