Tinubu killed Ecowas/Nigerien Govt

“Nigeria has taken the lead in unfair ECOWAS sanctions,” thunders Niamey The Nigerien government reacted with virulence to the comments of Nigeria, which had deplored the decision of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali to leave ECOWAS. In a scathing statement, Niamey accuses Abuja of having played a central role in the “unfair, illegal, unjust and inhumane” sanctions imposed by the regional organization. Niger points the finger at the leadership of the Nigerian president, as current president of ECOWAS, in the adoption of these sanctions. “History will record that the sanctions (…) were taken under the leadership of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” insists the press release.
