AES:Mali woos Chad..recalls hundreds of years old relationship

The President of the Transition of #Mali received a delegation #tchadienne . His Excellency Colonel Assimi GOÏTA, President of the Transition, Head of State, today granted an audience to a Chadian delegation led by Mr. MAHAMAT ASSOUYOUTI Abakar, Minister of Economy, Planning and International cooperation of the Republic of Chad. This highly important visit is part of the strengthening of historical and fraternal ties between Mali and Chad. In his speech to the press, Mr. ASSOUYOUTI recalled the centuries-old ties uniting Mali and Chad, a long-standing friendship anchored in history. He urged Mali to support his candidacy for the General Directorate of the Agency for Safety and Air Navigation in Africa (ASECNA). His Excellency Colonel Assimi GOÏTA expressed his gratitude for this message, offering in return clear directions for the continuation of bilateral relations. He reiterated Mali’s commitment to supporting Chad, emphasizing the mutuality of development challenges and opportunities that the two countries encounter in their respective Transitions. This hearing reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Mali and Chad to work jointly for peace, security and economic development in the Sahel region.
