JOINT SECURITY FORCE DESTROYS GUNMEN CAMPS AFTER INTENSE CONFRONTATION IN ANAMBRA. A joint security force comprising police operatives of the Anambra State Police Command has successfully dismantled camps belonging to gunmen responsible for recent attacks on two police stations. The operatives engaged the gunmen in a fierce firefight, resulting in the destruction of the their hideouts located in Obofia Forest, Aguluezuchukwu, and Ogboji areas of the state. The operation, executed on Tuesday, led to the recovery of various incriminating items including a locally crafted rocket launcher, police uniforms, high-caliber ammunition, and an unregistered Ford Pick-Up truck. The Police-led Forward Operating Base, renowned for its mobility, spearheaded the assault, successfully routing the insurgents from their ambush locations and subsequently obliterating their enclaves.
