Enforcement team of Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, on Tuesday, arrested one Abba Mohammed (Aged 24) for vandalising and stealing steel bars installed by the State Government to protect System 1 Canal along Odo Iya Alaro-Opebi Link Bridge. The suspect, who came from a North West state, was caught in the act, following an alert by a whistleblower who saw the suspect and his accomplices, Sa’ad and Muritala (both at large), breaking down the canal’s concrete barriers to extract the steel bars.
