Tyo-tu community, nestled along the Gboko Road in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, is currently under siege as suspected armed Fulani herdsmen unleash violence upon its residents…

The assault, reported by prominent Benue-born blogger, social media influencer, activist, and humanitarian, Ukan Kurugh, is ongoing as of now. Kurugh took to his Facebook page to raise awareness about the dire situation and to urgently call upon security agencies to intervene.

In his Facebook post, Kurugh stated, “There is an attack right now at Tyo-tu along Gboko Road by suspected herdsmen. The security agencies should act fast while travellers are advised to ply that road with caution now.”

This incident is yet another addition to the disturbing trend of attacks, kidnappings, and killings perpetrated by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Benue State. Despite various attempts to find solutions, these acts of violence persist, posing a significant challenge to the safety and security of the region’s residents.
