Biafra: Iwuanyanwu, Special Task Force, Ohanaeze Meets Nnamdi Kanu in DSS Detention The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu today May 30th held a closed door meeting with the leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu at the DSS detention center. The details of the meeting centered on his welfare, pending court case , health issues and the need for Political solution. Chief Iwuanyanwu was accompanied to the DSS Headquarters by some Ohanaeze leaders and members of the Special Task Force for the Release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The Special Task Force for the Release of Nazi Nnamdi Kanu had earlier convinced the Ohanaeze leader on the need for private discussion with the estranged secessionist leader, to fast track the process of political solution. Ohanaeze leaders and members of the Special Task Force for the Release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu , numbering twelve, accompanied Chief Iwuanyanwu to the meeting. The Special Task Force for the Release of Nnamdi Kanu yesterday, issued press release informing Ndigbo Worldwide of the visit to the DSS headquartets and the agenda, and appealed to Ndigbo Celebrating the May 30th Remembrance Day to eschew violence, and not jeopardize the peace process. Meanwhile, the Special Task Force have been informed again by presidency sources that their two earlier letters to President Bola Tinubu appealing for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is receiving attention. The full details of the meeting between Chief Iwuanyanwu and Nnamdi Kanu will be communicated later. IPOB counsel, Barrister Alloy Ejimakor, Prince Kalu ( member of the Task Force) also provided vital information to the Igbo leaders during the visit.
