But firstly there is no sense for the Governor to make excuses for the Bandits. Why will he even bring the option of negotiation with the criminals that laid ambush and murdered tens of our military?
Secondly it is not his place to proffer which action should be taken against a terrorists group that murdered the Nigerian military and his attempt to spin the narrative in the direction of herdsmen is mischievous.

We are talking about Bandits and cattle herders and pleading for leniency for the people that commit a first degree murder offence made him culpable.
So to answer your question, I listened to entire video and it is lyrics of nonsense.
He knows the consequences of a full military attack….he’s giving the culprits the option to surrender now…but the leader will die one way or the other for sure….he said if the dialogue fails then the military can go in…it’s the common sensible thing to do as a Governor to prevent collateral damage…any which way the groups time is over…if they are sensible they should surrender in this window which the Governor has created… but for their leader let him start writing his will
There is nothing sensible about Governor Bago’s plea to the military.
Firstly he couldn’t plead with the terrorists to stop the incessant killing and all the atrocities they have been committing before the attention of the military was drawn to the invasion of the terrorists in Niger communities.
Secondly as a Governor he lacks the power to plead or dictate which time frame on how the military should about dealing with people who threatened the sovereignty of the Nigerian state and murdered the heroes who are saddled with the responsibility to defend the territorial integrity of our nation.
I know so well that so many folks will quickly pounced on Governors from the south who dare make this plea on behalf of a terrorists group.
I refuse to fall for the cheap talk of “the leader will surely die” because that is the exact measure that awaits the beasts who dare murdered the soldiers that are on national assignment.
I submit here without any fear of contradiction that it is irresistible for Gov Bago to make any plea or suggestions to the military because he lack such power .
What is the Governor pleading for?
This was how they pleaded for carrot and stick for Boko Haram terrorists and thereby obstructed the progress Gen Ihejirika was making against the terrorists.
Tinubu shouldn’t fall for deception of the Governor of Niger state. He should give the military the go ahead to go and flush those terrorists out of Niger state.

The northern elite keep nurturing these criminals for a reason they are yet to disclose
