PDP Northern Youth Leader, AbdulJabbar Rufai has pulled out of Atiku’s campaign Council due to what he described as injustice and marginalization on the South. He also described PDP as a regional party.
Political activist and youth leader in the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, Abduljabbar Rufai has described the People’s Democratic Party as a regional party which the Governor of Rivers State and former presidential candidate of the PDP, Governor Nyesom Wike is trying so hard to correct.
During an interview with Arise News, Abduljabbar Rufai restated his stand on joining the Wike’s camp in pulling out of the party’s presidential campaign team.
Although, his name didn’t appear on the list of the party’s presidential campaign team, but Abduljabbar Rufai received an email invitation inviting him to join the campaign team. While speaking about why he rejected the offer, but decided to join the Wike’s faction, he noted that he is a Northerner who is a son of Kano and Gombe states which makes him a son of both Northeast and Northwest regions.
He noted that his campaign for Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party started back then in 2018. However, he has decided to pull out of the campaign team following the injustice that is currently going on in the party.

According to him, those of them (himself inclusive) who have decided to pull out of the campaign team decided not to rationalize the act of gross injustice that is being perpetrated by the party’s leadership and structure.
Speaking further, he said that if there are sides in the party, he will choose to be with Wike because the Governor of Rivers State has more reasons to be aggrieved.
