STOP THIS DIVERSION: IT IS NOT OCEAN BLUE ROAD AND THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE UKAGBA ROAD FROM AMA LUKE
PiusVirginNEWS in recent days have been at the forefront of highlighting the dilapidation of roads in Orlu local government area and its environs. This must have captured the attention of state and local government authorities.
Recently PiusVirginNEWS captured a scene which tends to mislead the surveying efforts of the possible contractors ostensibly handling the AMA LUKE JUNCTION – ORLU to ORLU – OWERRI ROAD DUAL CARRIAGE EXPRESS ROAD.
The trending video captures the misleading information using hitherto none existent unknown roads such as Ocean Blue road or Ukagba road to divert the attention from the intended over a century old known road with visible land marks yawning for rehabilitation.
In the first place , the two-kilometre distance road from Ama Luke Junction, the boundary of Uzoubi/Umuna and Owerre Ebeiri along Owerri road links the new Orlu-Owerri dual carriage express Road (recently completed by His Excellency Hope Uzodinma administration) with notable land marks such as
International Secondary School, Imo state school of Nursing Orlu , International Timber Market etc.
The entrance/exit city gate leading to Ama Luke junction is still standing there.
Across the dual carriage way the road continues to Umutanze, Atta and Omuma.
Other land marks within the precincts of this major road are Imo Paper packaging industry, EzeUkwu Owerre Ebeiri palace and Health center, Premier Primary School from where you link the Imo State University Teaching hospital road and Old Owerri road.
The two voices you could hear in the video sounding OCEAN BLUE ROAD and UKAGBA ROAD are not the best curators for this excercise. The erstwhile Sole Administrator of Orlu LGA who happens to be in the team ought to have known all these. Government Agencies should learn to work in concert with Town Union Leaders of the communities where they intend to develop whom they could rely upon for accurate information. 100℅ of the road in question are inside Owerre Ebeiri autonomous community. No doubt one does not think here that the intention of the state and local government is to create or rehabilitate a road to Ukagba compound
who does not hail from this community Or to Ocean Blue Hotel. This entitlement mentality does not augur well for the development that could benefit the good people of Orlu who have suffered in the hands of their past government authorities by the way of infra structural development.
