Oluwafemi Remilekun Too bad that you are concocting these lies to someone who knows Nigeria.

  1. Tinubu NEVER appointed any Igbo a judge. He appointed Justice Grace MODUPE Onyeabor a judge, a Yoruba woman married to an Igbo man who worked through the stages with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. She was Deputy DPP when Ngozi Mofunanya was the DPP. Ngozi, an Igbo from Anambra served with the Lagos government in her NYSC in 1978 and was retained as the best Corper. She was DPP when Osinbajo was the Attorney General. We knew and interacted with them during the trial of Al Mustapha, Bamaiyi and others.
She was poisoned and died overnight. We were never told who, but it was NOT the government. Her deputy took over. Few months after that, judges were appointed by Tinubu’s government.
A friend and professional colleague then at the Igbosere High court from Ado Ekiti told us later how he visited a Lagos retired judge who boasted to him how they eliminated “that Ibo girl because a stranger can’t be appointed a judge in Lagos” Our friend said the statement shocked him to an extent he couldn’t drink a cup of water the judge offered him as he laughed over such callous comment.
  2. Peter Obi NEVER sacked any Igbo workers of another state. Never happened. If you say it did, give me reference and having been a mainstream information professional for close to 30 years, I will apologize to you.
It was TA Orji of Abia that tried it and later recalled them with apologies.
  3. Tinubu appointed Igbo to his cabinet. That’s true. There was a reason. Sometime in May this year, Prof ABC Nwosu, former health minister, granted press interview and narrated how he personally accompanied Tinubu at Tinubu’s solicitation to lobby Igbo voters, day and night whose VOTES returned Tinubu to power in 2003 when Obasanjo came sweeping through the zone to reclaim it for his PDP. That’s why Tinubu was the only one that won a second tenure. It was his token of appreciation that he appointed Ben Akabueze as commissioner, a childhood friend of his Chief of Staff, Babatunde Fashola.
  4. All Igbo states, and indeed all states in Nigeria that ever had free basic education NEVER excluded non-indigenes. They don’t because it is not a favour to strangers but a moral obligation because THESE RESIDENTS OF THE STATE FROM ALL STATES MAKE UP THE POPULATION FOR WHICH FG GIVES MONTHLY ALLOCATION. It’s one of the injustices of Nigeria that holds it down that a state like Lagos or any other gets allocation for a population from all parts of the country and turns around to deny them dividends on basis of STATE OF ORIGIN.
  5. The Igbo pay taxes and contribute to the economy of Lagos in so many ways that there is no justification you seeing whatever you call benefits to them as kindness from Tinubu.
  6. Igbo governors have appointed NON-IGBO to their governments.
Festus Adedayo from Ibadan was Chief Press Secretary to Governor Nnamani of Enugu and later SA Media. He is a fiery critic and journalist, the same person APC resisted that his appointment as CPS to Ahmad Lawan, Senate President, can’t be because they said he criticized their party.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo right now is Christian Aburime from Edo State.
In Orji Uzor Kalu days in Abia, 2 Hausa served as councillors in Umuahia LGA, twice.
August 2020 an Uber driver took me to the Ikeja airport and in the course of the trip I noticed him speak fluent Igbo to someone on the phone. But he was Yoruba from Ekiti who later explained to me that they were born and raised in Owerri and all speak Igbo and rather battle to express themselves in Yoruba. Now hear this, he told me that his immediate younger brother was a serving councillor in the Owerri Urban LGA.
Sam Egwu appointed two SAs from Kano and Bauchi. I knew them personally because I am from Ebonyi State.
  7. If anyone from any part of Nigeria wants to be appointed by a government in Igboland, let the person live in Igboland first like we live in other parts of the country, contribute and then join in the benefits. Enugu or Imo State can’t appoint you commissioner when you live in Ogbomosho. Tinubu didn’t appoint any stranger Igbo who lives in Orlu or Edda, but his political allies who live in Lagos and work for him.
  8. The worst ingratitude of all times is a laughable denial that Obasanjo, a full blooded Yoruba man who won power and used it to benefit Yoruba is decietfully described as not being a Yoruba candidate. Did you listen to yourself in that deciet? Does it look good on your good conscience?
Oga, with due respect, I have facts. You have sentiments. Even if you raise 100+ wrong political narratives, I don’t need to consult anyone to counter them with factual points of history.
  9. No IGBO man EVER called Lagos NO-MAN’S-LAND. In fact, I listened to a truthful Yoruba man two weeks ago explain the meaning of that terminology to even connote a POSITIVE usage to imply that LAGOS ACTUALLY BELONGS TO EVERYONE AND NEVER DISCRIMINATES AGAINST STRANGERS, a place large and generous enough to accommodate all. People like you concocted all these lies overnight to find reason to alienate, deride and attack the Igbo in Lagos over Tinubu’s interest.
  10. Let it be in your mind that TINUBU’S INTEREST DOES NOT MEAN YORUBA OR LAGOS INTEREST. It’s personal to him.
  11. Igbo and Yoruba have always co-existed peacefully because the two are classified the most progressive African ethnic nations. They intermarry most among all Nigerians.
  12. The Igbo NEVER takes Yoruba for granted and CAN NEVER DO because Yoruba respects relationship just like the Igbo.
  13. You can’t live installed like a mill in Lagos and judge the Igbo. Kindly ask Yoruba people that worked, served or live in Igboland who the Igbo are regarding openess to strangers.
  14. Yoruba never attacked the Igbo before and we cherish them and love them and I bet you that YORUBA love the Igbo also.
  15. It’s people like you who want to use Tinubu’s personal interest to create a war between the two.
  16. We and all reasonable Yoruba people can’t allow you have your way
That’s why many Igbo support Tinubu which reality you deny, and many Yoruba also genuinely support Peter Obi.
For those who never see anything good about the igboman. This should set some records straight.
