Innoson is not an assembly plant/Ogechukwukamma Abia

“Someone yesterday, in fact, Kenneth Ilona was displaying heavy dose of ignorance that Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing is not an Auto maker but a car Assembling Company. His argument was on the basis that Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing doesn’t manufacture 100% of their vehicle parts and the Engine block. Kenneth also claimed that there’s no Car Manufacturing Company in Brazil but Assembling plants.

We tried to teach him and enlighten him on how Car manufacturing companies work.
However, he has refused to learn. We can go further to give him more examples, thus the need for this post.

There is a video (see comment section) Anthony Emeka Nwosu tagged me where Lamborgini Urus used majority of VW AG and Audi parts in about 70% of the underneath components for that sleek machine.

Boeing Dreamliner uses engine manufactured by GE and Rolls-Royce… Does that make Boeing not an Areoplane manufacturer?

There are automakers that uses engine and transmission manufactured by other companies. For instance, Pontiac Vibe uses Toyota 1ZZ engine and the transmission (gearbox). Pontiac is owned by the American General Motors (GM). The Vibe has almost the same components as the Toyota Corrola Matrix.

Mercedes-Benz A klasse uses engine manufactured by Renault. Range Rover uses engine manufactured by another company.

Rolls-Royce uses engine manufactured by BMW.

Aston Martin uses engine manufactured by Mercedes-Benz AMG.

Fiat sell more engine than cars. Those engines are not manufactured for ghosts. They are used by other automotive manufacturers.

Speakers and sound systems of Toyota and Lexus are manufactured by JBL and Mark Levinson. ABS and many electrical and electronics parts used by Toyota are manufactured by Denso.

Again, most electronics and electrical components used by Mercedes-Benz and other German made cars are mostly made by Bosch and Siemens.

Most of the British Car Parts are from VW, same with American (GM Motors).

There are100s of other parts of cars manufactured by different companies that the car manufacturers outsource their production to. It could be for their expertise or to maximise profit. Even inside the engine and transmission components, there are 10s of products from different companies other than the badge of the car.

There are 100s of examples where automakers borrow from each other from designs, to components to engine to electronics and in so many cases from entirely different companies not in the same line of business.

Maybe Dede Kelechi Deca can help us teach Kenneth the rudiments of automobile manufacturing or Slik Agha can help him to understand it better as KD’s technical knowledge detailing maybe too much for him to comprehend. KD is an encyclopedia.

Post script: the attached photo is the Latest IVM IJELE with an imposing look. The name and the look exudes dominance, pride and it is very endearing.”
